The Tinkers Workshop

About a week ago I posted about finding Autodesk’s Fusion 360 free CAD software. With this time frame I have been putting in as much work as you can to break the program down and learn how it is to design something with it. I am still quite impressed with what this software can do this I could not accomplish in other CAD software that I’ve worked with. With all this at heart I attempt to create a straightforward computer model of possibly a future project that I might develop further as time moves on.

In two days I could produce this beautiful CAD style of an aircraft-drive boat. It is nowhere near complete but the point of this model was just to see what I could learn from the program and how hard it was to manipulate a design after I had started with it.

I am also investing in the hours that it requires to learn the software’s tools as well as how to utilize them. In the images you observe here I have not put in the detailed engineering to actually get this a working sail boat either small or full sized. That takes much more time than simply a few days to work out even if you are only heading to make say a RC radio managed boat. A thing that would be much cheaper to create than a full-sized fishing boat to make sure and still be a lot of fun to design and build.

In this version of the vessel I made a decision to full enclose the vessel which would make it a lot simpler for an RC model to be certain. Electric drive would be my best think concerning how to power such a model, so that is another thought with this design.

  • You can try the live site on your PC
  • Attempting to printing accessories (e.g. PDF) on email messages would send the print out job but nothing images
  • 5MP Camera with Auto-focus
  • 12 to determine a monthly overhead cost. Obviously, the income

I am quite impressed with the graphics that Fusion 360 creates as illustrated with these images. Very simple to understand configurations to make various views and lighting setups so it is a lot of fun along the way while learning all the tools of the software. Anyway this is just another plug for my views on what I believe of Fusion 360 and what it can create.

I’ll keep working on the software to learn more on the fine details that I am going to dependence on future projects. But after only a few days time if I can come up with this in short order just wait until I enter something much more complicated like the images the thing is below. This radio managed car was modeled using Fusion 360 and the photos were submitted on the Autodesk user’s website. Tremendous modeling done here making my boat appears to be I have a lot more work to look before it can even be put into a little pond of drinking water.
